Our team of professionals understands the pain that comes with a cracked or fractured tooth. Regardless of how the tooth experienced damage, it needs to be addressed and fixed as soon as possible. Our doctors, with years of experience with restorative dentistry, are always ready and prepared to repair a damaged tooth with CEREC crowns. These amazingly durable and strong crowns can solve a number of dental problems, including:
Protecting a weak tooth and preventing it from receiving further damage or breaking
Restore a broken, fractured, or chipped tooth
Cover and support a tooth with a large filling
Hold a dental bridge in place
Restore a natural look to a misshapen or discolored tooth
Cover a dental implant
If tooth decay or minor wear and tear is spotted, inlays and onlays are a fantastic solution for these issues. Both are similar to crowns, as they provide strength and protect teeth from receiving further damage.
However, inlays and onlays are prepared beforehand to fix a solution, and they are not used for chipped or broken teeth. After an oral examination – if the doctors determine inlays or onlays are necessary – we will prepare your custom restorations in a laboratory and schedule a follow-up appointment, so they can be bonded to the teeth.
Inlays are bonded within the center of the tooth, while onlays are placed on the cusps (points) of the tooth. These restorations fix problem areas, safeguard the structure of the tooth, provide strength and stability, and protect weak areas in the tooth.
